DEBAUCHERY IS BACK.
"My generation, we drink because it's good,
because it feels better than unbuttoning your collar,
because we deserve it.
We drink, because it's what men do."

Here, Here! It has been two years too long since the end of season four of Mad Men, and I am ecstatic for the two hour season premiere of Mad Men this Sunday!! Chris and I are both Mad Men lovers and are going to celebrate the beginning of season five in true Mad Men style, with Man Men inspired cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
The cocktails Chris and I decided to have are an old fashioned (no brainer) and a martini.
For the old fashioned you need rye whiskey (Canadian Club if you want to be true to Mr. Draper), sugar, bitters, maraschino cherries, and orange zest.
The martini requires vodka (or gin), dry vermouth, and manzanilla olives.
Lets begin with the old fashioned. Add a teaspoon of sugar to a small tumbler.
Next add orange zest
Then the bitters, about three drops.
Now add a teaspoon of water and then muddle the mixture with something blunt.
Shake up a shot and a half (two ounces) of whiskey. Add two cherries and ice to the glass. Pour whiskey over top. You can also add in a little cherry juice if you want your cocktail a little sweeter. Stir to combine.
That one was for you, Don.
Now for the Martini. Coat a chilled martini glass with 3/4 ounce of dry vermouth and then pour out.
Shake two ounces (shot and a half) of vodka or gin with ice.
Pour vodka or gin into the martini glass.
Skewer three olives and serve. You can add a little olive juice if you want to make it dirty!
Is it Sunday yet?! Must be!
